Everyone's beloved pizza-loving heroes are making their way to the popular trading card game. The popular trading card game's company, Wizards of the Coast, announced a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a special panel held at New York Comic Con. Is this a radical new set or simply another crossover cash grab? Let you decide.
Check out below at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, along with some useful background. All items listed here releases on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — the Pizza Bundle arrives a few weeks later on March 27.
MTG x TMNT: Main Set Reveals
Before diving into all the various special decks and bundles available, we’ll examine at the full lineup from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by the developers. Standard booster packs for the set are priced at $6.99 each, while Collector Boosters should run $37.99 per pack.
Let’s explore a few shell-shocking details. First, a new gameplay mechanic named Sneak Attack, inspired by the already established Ninjutsu ability, where players can cheat powerful creatures onto the game field whenever an attacking creature isn’t blocked. The key change in this case is that Sneak can affect spells that aren’t creatures too. Wizards also used this chance to clean up the ability a little (Sneak counts as playing a spell, as opposed to the older mechanic). The original ability isn't going away, but it's more likely players will encounter Sneak in upcoming expansions moving forward.
Should we go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it was developed and it is iconic of that world,” an experienced game designer explained. “But in other settings, since the rules are cleaner and Sneak will be in standard, it's more likely that we'd use the updated version.”
Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai, is among four cards with special art designed specifically for the set by TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman.
Oh, and, if you're shocked by the rules text on Turtles Forever, which allows playing cards that aren't in your main deck, many players were. But as per Wizards, it’s now a official card in every format of Magic.
In any case, here are the extremely bizarre land cards with full art from the TMNT set:
Following Wizards of the Coast's current policy, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers state they were careful to make sure the new cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.
“I headed the design for over a year and we were aware it would be in standard and what other sets would be near it in Standard,” the designer says. “We designed to make sure that they work well with some of those sets like Edge of Eternities.”
For example, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red archetype built around artifact cards.
“They combine to offer the components for a enjoyable Standard-legal deck,” he says.
Commander Deck: Turtle Power
Following a decision to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only a single precon, but it includes six different legendary cards who could work as your commander based on how you combine them (five cards include a unique Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command zone instead of just one). Take a look for yourself:
The Turtle Power deck is priced at $69.99, though the price may rise due to demand. Sources indicated that it includes 43 brand-new cards in total, which translates to an extra thirty-seven TMNT-themed cards in addition to the six legendary creatures pictured above. (Doing some rough math, that also means about 20 reprints if we estimate the deck comes with 37 lands.)
What will the TMNT version of the iconic Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and see.
TMNT Bundle (Regular)
As per usual, the company is offering a bundle. It is priced at $69.99 and includes the following:

- Fifteen Regular land cards

Pizza-Themed Bundle
This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it comes in what looks like a pizza delivery box. Each Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the items below:

For those curious about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” is, it’s basically a reprinted older card with all-new Turtle-themed art. Wizards revealed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter sprinkling toppings on a pizza slice. There are six distinct Pizza Bundle promo cards available.
This special bundle launches a few weeks after the core set on March 27, 2026.

Cooperative Play Set
Lastly, Wizards are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to develop Magic products aimed at beginners. Here, the cooperative set is a unique product of decks that let you and a friend team up to face a “Boss” enemy deck that plays automatically.
The general idea is that every Boss card gives special abilities to the creatures contained in the boss deck. Each Boss automatically casts an additional card each turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
