Promoter Hearn has vowed to take legal action targeting Eubank Jr, following the fighter accused his opponent’s team of using underhand tactics and attempted sabotage ahead of their upcoming rematch.

Fighter’s Accusations

Eubank Jr, who won their initial fight by clear judges’ verdict, stated that emergency transport taking him to medical care after the bout was prevented from leaving for a significant period.

“Every effort was made in an attempt to destroy me during the last fight,” Eubank Jr stated. “Contract breaches, fines, strict weight rules, disrupted pre-fight checks, one-sided broadcast remarks and officiating. Their actions continues.”

He also claimed that his team were prevented from accessing the stadium and that security personnel attempted to slow down his entry on purpose.

Promoter’s Rebuttal

The promoter rejected the allegations as “nonsense” and warned legal consequences if the boxer retracts his statements.

“What he doesn’t know that there is official records from fight night, it’s available in black and white,” Hearn emphasized.

He continued, “We expect a public retraction, or we’ll be taking legal action. These accusations personally. Our reputation is impeccable.”

Backstory of the Rivalry

The feud between both fighters stems from a decades-old family rivalry starting in the late 1980s when their parents, Chris Eubank Sr and Benn Sr, faced off in a pair of memorable matches.

Remembering a Boxing Legend

At the press conference, Conor Benn paid tribute to recently deceased fighter Ricky Hatton, who was found dead in his residence at the age of 46.

“Hatton represented a figure that greatly helped me professionally and a person that welcomed me as a father figure,” Benn stated. “He made me feel at home during times without a home. He meant everything to me.”

Looking Ahead to the Rematch

The rematch, billed as “Unresolved Matters,” will occur on 15 November inside a London venue.

The veteran fighter has enlisted new trainer BoMac in his corner, whereas Benn promised to come back as a better version of himself.

McIntyre commented, “It’s likely this will be a little bit less challenging in the rematch. Eubank has got his number.”

Benn responded using a defiant comment: “It’s amusing that you hired an additional coach in, because you know you’re going to require the help.”
