Vinicius Jr Issues Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Fans
The attacker has registered five finishes in 10 domestic competition appearances this season.
Los Merengues forward Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his conduct when taken off in Sunday's heated match against Barcelona victory.
Vinicius was substituted in the second half and displayed his frustration by going straight off the pitch.
Vinicius subsequently came back to the bench and, after his club's narrow triumph, sought to engage Barcelona's Lamine Yamal during unpleasant post-match scenes.
"This day I want to express regret to all the supporters for my behavior when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius posted on his account.
"Just as I have said in person during the latest practice, I would like to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the organization, and the club president.
"Sometimes emotion gets the better of me because I always want to triumph and assist my side. My competitive character comes from the passion I have for this club and all it represents."
Vinicius joined Real from Brazil in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has scored triple figures in 335 appearances.
But his prospects in the Spanish capital is unclear with speculation in recent months suggesting that Los Blancos would think about allowing the 25-year-old move on if they obtained a good proposal.
When he was taken off on the match day, cameras from broadcaster the service picked him up remarking: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I depart, I'm going."
In his latest statement on social media, Vinicius said: "I vow to keep striving every second for the benefit of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
